Breaking News: The Illinois Senate today unanimously approved HB 3552, 49-0. Under this bill, a person’s last instructions regarding his or her gender identity must be respected by funeral directors (including pronouns, chosen name, and appearance).

Next step is review and approval by the Governor. Urge the Governor to sign HB 3552, one of the many bills that Equality Illinois is advocating for this spring in Springfield.
