Across the country, 56 percent of lesbian, gay, and bisexual people across the country report experiencing some type of discrimination while accessing healthcare. And, 52% of trans people in America believe they will be refused medical services because of their gender identity.
That’s why Equality Illinois is launching our LGBTQ Healthcare Survey. If you identify as a part of the LGBTQ community, we invite you to take our anonymous survey.
With it, we will better understand the competency and sensitivity of medical providers who serve LGBTQ patients throughout Illinois. With this information, we will develop resources to educate and help medical providers be more inclusive and sensitive to the needs of LGBTQ patients.
